La Colombe d'Or Hotel

There are so many incredible stays in the Cote d’Azur. One of my favourites is La Colombe d'Or Hotel, a family-run inn with a great restaurant. It’s known for its world class art collection which includes pieces by artists like Picasso, Miró and Léger, who traded their works of art for meals during the war. It’s very romantic, with a lovely garden.

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc

Another favourite of mine is Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, one of the most iconic hotels in the world. It has been featured in a lot of classic movies and is famous for hosting the amfAR gala during the Cannes Film Festival.

Hôtel Les Roches Rouges

Finally, Hôtel Les Roches Rouges in Saint-Raphaël. Another classic Riviera hotel. It mixes ‘50s and ‘60s glamour with local art and furniture. It’s the perfect getaway to relax and recharge.

La Colombe d'Or Restaurant

My go-to restaurant is the one at La Colombe d'Or. I recommend having lunch outside on the terrace, and make sure to have a peak at all the incredible art pieces inside. I celebrated my 30th birthday at La Colombe d'Or, so it has a special place in my heart.

Café de Paris Monte-Carlo

A great place for lunch is Café de Paris in Monaco, a chic brasserie that overlooks the Monte-Carlo Casino square. Try to book a table on the terrace upstairs for dining with a view.

For a special occasion, go for dinner at Ceto, located in The Maybourne Riviera Hotel (just outside of Monaco). The seating has panoramic views over the Côte d'Azur and the sunsets are incredible.

Visit Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

For those who like architecture, visit Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, overlooking the bays of Villefranche and Beaulieu. This mansion is inspired by the Italian Renaissance and houses a vast collection of art, 18th century furniture and porcelains. It’s surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Take a coastal walk

The French Riviera has a lot of stunning coastal paths and beaches that are great for walks. My favourite trail is from the port of Cap-d'Ail to Cap Mala. Make sure you go for a quick stop at restaurant Le Cabanon for a coffee or something refreshing, and then walk all the way to Mala beach to have a dip in the sea and lunch at one of the restaurants.

One place only locals know about:

Sass Cafè

They always end up at Sass Cafè in Monaco! This restaurant/bar is the kind of place where locals naturally gather after a long day or night out, soaking up the atmosphere and good times.
